Colleen spent over 10 years working both at the front desk and in the accounting office at hotels. Throughout the years in the hospitality industry, she discovered she had a knack for numbers when she was working in the night audit position. Unfortunately the hours of that job weren’t conducive to having a family. In 2014 she decided to return to school for bookkeeping. Colleen went to school part-time while working full-time and raising my family, and she graduated with honours in 2015. She immediately landed a position assisting a local bookkeeper in her home on a part-time basis. While there, she assisted the full bookkeeping aspects of a number of local fast food restaurants, focusing mainly on accounts payables. Colleen eventually took on a full-time accounting clerk position at a locally owned building centre, working with both accounts receivables and accounts payables. She was then promoted to a purchasing agent at that company. She enjoyed what she did, going through reports and keeping track of inventory and price changes, but she missed doing accounting on a daily basis. Colleen decided to open her own bookkeeping business in November, 2018, and has since worked with clients in various industries, including contractors, hair salons, and marketing.
Rod has been doing personal income taxes for over 30 years. He completed the certificate course of Service in Administration from Sheridan College in 1985, Management Studies Certificate course from Sheridan College in 1989, and graduated with honours from Sheridan with certificate in Accounting in 1998, all while working full time as the Manager of IT Operations and Networking for the City of Mississauga. He retired in 2007 but has still been doing income taxes on his own. He is a dedicated and hardworking individual who has a passion for taxes like I've never seen and I'm confident he'll make a great addition to this season.
Katrina has been in the Administrative and Customer service industry for 8 years. She specializes in general administration. She has worked hand in hand with CEO's and Controllers from small to large size companies in Ontario. She speaks and understands English and Spanish fluently, with a strong knowledge of the French language. Katrina is a hard working, energetic person with strong communication and organizational skills. She's a very focused and detailed oriented and prides herself on exceptional customer service and willing to go beyond expectations.
